#BayelsaElection: Collation, Announcement Of Result Continues

SAN FRANCISCO, December 07, (THEWILL) – The Independent National Electoral (INEC) has resumed and started announcing results for Saturday's governorship election in Bayelsa State with the result from Ogbia Local Government Area, the home LGA of former president, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan.

There are two more local government areas to go, having announced results from five local governments on Sunday.

The election is clearly a two-way race between incumbent governor, Seriake Dickson of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and former governor Timipre Sylva of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

There are 8 local governments in the state – Brass, Ekeremor, Kolokuma/Opokuma, Nembe, Ogbia, Sagbama, Southern Ijaw and Yenagoa.

Below are the results so far announced by INEC at its headquarters in Bayelsa capital, Yenagoa.
