Fuji Star, Malaika Spotted On ‘Omo Shomolu’ Movie Set

Popular Fuji musician, Sulaimon Alao commonly known as Malaika is on set of a new Nollywood movie entitled 'Omo Shomolu'.

The shooting of the movie is said to be taking place on a street in Shomolu area of Lagos State and it will take almost a month to complete.

According to information gathered by Nollywoodgists.com, the producer of 'Omo Shomolu' is Taiye of Lege Films, who says he is using the movie to rebrand the face of the suburb of Lagos largely presumed to be a notorious area.

He said, “There are lots of wealthy people residing at Shomolu. There have been negative reports about the people living in Shomolu. We have to show Nigerians and the world at large that good people and good things also come from the area.

“Shomolu is the only area where we have lots of printing press in Lagos State and lots of politicians posters were printed here during the last election."

He further said, "Good personalities also stay here, Malaika has a house in Shomolu that is why we featured him in the movie. 9ice came out from Shomolu-Bariga, Olamide came out from a suburb here also. We have lots of showbiz stars that made their names from Shomolu. Movie buffs need to watch this movie when it is finally out on home video."

The movie features characters like Afeez Eniola, Omo Banke, Olaiya, Lege and lots of other movie stars.
