Group Calls For The Release Of Biafran Activist From Detention

By Biafra Nations Youth League

The general public is hereby notified that a Biafran Activist Nnamdi Kanu the Director of Radio Biafra has been arrested by Nigeria Department of Security Service -DSS and held hostage without trial.

The continuous illegal arrest of Biafra Advocates in Nigeria has become a routine occurrence and if care is not taken might lead to our youths taken laws into their hands.

It is admitted that Nnamdi Kanu is harsh in speech but he is only exercising his right to freedom of speech as recognized by Nigeria Constitution. It's very unfortunate and disheartening that Nigeria have refused to adhere to International Law which recognizes the right of Indegenous people to self determination according to United Nations Declaration.

Few weeks ago, Biafran Activists were shot dead at over head bridge Onitsha by Nigeria Security

Agencies during their peaceful evangelism,
We ask these simple questions;
Is it wrong for Indegenous people of Biafra to exercise their right to self determination?

Is Biafra Independence struggle not in compliance with United Nations charter?

We are aware of the instructions given to Inspector General of Police by Nigeria President Mohammadu

Buhari to arrest all Biafran Leaders.
We are also aware that the Islamist sect Boko Haram are no longer designated as a terrorist group ever

since Buhari wrestled power from Jonathan as a tactics to grant them amnesty.

We are equally aware that the Medias in Nigeria no longer have freedom of press.

A nation that do not recognize democracy is doomed to failure. No wonder USA tagged Nigeria a "failed state"

The use of force by Nigeria to stop Biafra independence in Africa if care is not taken will lead to another bloodbath.

We makes it clear to Nigeria Government, controlled by Muslims in the North that the Biafran independence agitator held hostage has right to freedom of speech and as such should not be treated like a terrorist.

We equally want the Federal Government of Nigeria to focus on the war against Boko Haram terrorists in

North and leave Biafran advocates alone.
We in Biafra Nations Youth League drawn from across the various ethnic groups inhabiting the Bight of Biafra demands the unconditional release of Mr. Nnamdi Kanu the Director of Radio Biafra.

We equally demand the release of Mr Benjamin Onwuka the Leader of Biafra Zionist Federation.

Signed:
National Leadership
