President Buhari Flags Off Construction Of 260 Kilometers 6-Lane Road In Calabar

President Mohammadu Buhari yesterday October 20, performed the ground-breaking ceremony of the construction of a 260 kilometres road linking Calabar to the rest of Northern Nigeria.

Mr President said his administration is committed to providing good network of roads that will facilitate land travels, transportation of good and services across the country.

He warned that even though the road is to be executed under Public, Private Partnership (PPP), it must be completed within the time frame, using the best of materials to ensure quality and durability.

President Buhari further disclosed that upon completion the six lanes 260 kilometers road would promote tourism as people will be able to travel easily for pleasure as well as facilitate transportation of goods and services from South East to the rest of Northern Nigeria.

Delta State APC leader and 2015 governorship candidate, Olorogun Otega Emerhor (OON) was among the three special dignitaries that accompanied President Buhari in his official presidential Airforce One Jet to Calabar.
