Alimikhena Render Account Of Stewardship To Apc Leaders

The deputy Chief whip of the Senate and Senator representing Edo North Senator Francis Alimikhena storm Okpella in Etsako East Local government area of Edo State, to render account of his stewardship at the National Assembly in his three months of service to his constituents. According to senator Alimikhena ‘I am here to brief my leaders on the journey so far. Senator Alimikhena describes regular feedback as a major tool in effective representation. Stressing that his regular visit is part of the fulfillment of his campaign promises to always remain a grassroots senator and not a senator in Diaspora that is not accessible by his people. ‘I am here in Edo North with you and my gate is wide open to receive and listen to Edo North People. He mentioned some of his achievement to include the complete construction of the fail portion of the Auchi Agenebode road, sponsoring of two Bills, Motions, and provision of employment as well as continuous personal assistance among others.

Also speaking during the leader’s forum the Edo State Deputy Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Alhaji Chaltous Mogaji described Senator Alimikhena as a man with strong character. Saying that since the political history of Edo North, this is the first time that a serving Senator invited political leaders to brief them on his few month of service in Abuja. ‘This is an exceptional character that we must celebrate. We are lucky to have SenatorFrancis Alimikhena as our senator in a time like this when effective representation and accountability are required in this dispensation of change. He further caution against ongoing plans to distract senator Alimikhena from his good works. Describing the meeting as a new dawn in Edo North, the National Leader and Member Board of Trustee of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Prince Malic Afegbua urged Senator Alimikhena to continue with his pace of development and empowerment activity. He appealed to him to make his constituents briefing a regular affair in order to keep his constituency inform about the happenings in the Senate. Afegbua thank the deputy Chief whip of the senate for his effort and contribution in helping to secure the recently approved World Bank Loan to enhance infrastructural development in the state despite the strong resistance from the opposition party.

Meanwhile, former State Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Barrister Edward Sado, moved a vote of confidence in the Deputy Whip of the Senate describing him as the best Senator that Edo North has ever produced since the political history of the state, stressing that Alimikhena is the most fortunate Senator in the history of political alignment in Nigeria. Barrister Sado, said the motion for the vote of confidence became necessary due to the track record of infrastructural development by Senator Alimikhena in his three months in the Senate. Consequently a vote of confidence was unanimously passed In Senator Francis Alimikhena.

While reiterating his commitment to the APC, the deputy Chief Whip of the Senate provided financial support to the Edo North APC leaders for organizing regular meetings of the APC in the senatorial district in order to strengthen the structure of the APC ahead of the governorship election next year.
