Police apprehend 46 suspected cultists in Edo State

The Edo State Police Command has arrested 46 suspected cultists in Esan-West Local Government Area of the state, during a raid in Ekpoma.

The Commissioner of Police in Edo Mr. Chris Ezike, said the raid followed recent cult clashes recorded in the town which also hosts the Ambrose Alli University.

While confirming the arrest, the Edo police boss said that it was part of efforts by the command to maintain law and order in the state.

Ezike said the suspects were being interrogated by officers from the command.
