Timi Franks Bids Mama H.I.D. Awolowo Adieu!

The Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the ruling All Progressives' Congress, Comrade Timi Frank has sent his condolence messages on the passing of Mama Hannah Idowu Dideolu Awolowo.

While he received the news of the demise of the matriarch of the Awolowo family, Mama Hannah Idowu Dideolu AWOLOWO, wife of the great politician and founding father of Nigeria, Papa Obafemi Awolowo who rested at the ripe age of 99 in her Ikenne, Ogun State home with a heavy heart, he commiserates sincerely with the family of the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, the Awolowo Family, the people of Ogun State, the entire Yorubaland and the Nigerian Nation as a whole.

He eulogized the Yeye Oduduwa, HID Awolowo, a ‘jewel of inestimable value’ as one who "had lived a great and impact - filled life spanning several generations from the days of serving as a major pillar of support to the Patriach, Late Chief Obafemi Awolowo to being a rallying point for younger generation of nation builders like mine" while also pointing out that "her enormous contributions to the democracy and rule of law which we now enjoy cannot be over emphasized".

He stressed that she has indeed distinguished herself as a role model as many women look up to her to draw inspiration towards supporting their spouses while also holding the family tenets strong.

He prays that her soul rest in perfect peace; Adieu Mama HID Awolowo.
