The Department of State Services (DSS) has retired the former SSS spokesperson, Marilyn Ogar and 14 other senior officers from the service.

Marilyn Ogar was demoted by a rank along with 44 others less than two months ago, after they were promoted by the Goodluck Jonathan government for hard work and exemplary effectiveness in service delivery.

She was due to retire in 2022.
Ogar was alleged to have collected several trucks of DPK (Dual Purpose Kerosene) during the last administration,  which her bosses tagged  breaches of service codes.

It is not clear how getting involved in the sale of petroleum products breached service codes.

Then PPMC boss, Haruna Momoh, allegedly suggested the allocations be channelled through known fuel independent marketers who will receive the allocation, sell them and deliver cash to Ms. Ogar.

The DSS boss , Lawal Daura, hurriedly set up a committee that indicted her and others over alleged service misconduct. The evidence presented and defence are still shrouded in mystery.

The charges against others could not be ascertained .
