Avoid Sabotage In Akwa Ibom

The State government has called on Elders to shun acts capable of truncating the genuine development plans of the administration.

Governor Udom Emmanuel stated this during the monthly Government House prayer meeting held at the Later Days Chapel.

The Governor described as selfish the recent visit to the Presidency by some Elders to drum support for the elongation of the tenure of Rector, Maritime Academy Oron and their request to the President to forgo the propose plan by the government to upgrade Maritime Academy to a degree awarding Institution.

He also condemned the activities of those who tend to negate the industrialization focus of his administration and advised the people to desist from such negative act and that they should close ranks and support the visions of the administration.

Governor Emmanuel pointed out that his commitment to the successful turnaround of the state to an industrial hub in the Gulf of Guinea was on course and lauded the Government House Prayer team for their dedication in seeking divine blessings for the State. He prayed God to uproot every obstacle to the progress of the state and it citizens.

Preaching on the theme You will loose Nothing, Rev Angela Ashong said that believers are designed by God to be victorious in all their endeavours. The cleric who culled her text from John 6 verse 39 said the Lord has given assurance of preservation and provision to his children and called on all to be steadfast in prayers.

The service which featured prayers for the State and the people climaxed with donations in support for the World Life Centre at Ikot Afanga in Oruk Anam Local Government Area.
