Veteran Nollywood actor, Pete Edochie, has revealed that he actually advised his son, Yul Edochie, to be in front of the camera rather than behind because he actually studied directing in school.

The actor stated that he was not use to watching Nollywood movies but was forced to watch it when people contacted him that his son was doing well.

He acknowledged the fact that having watched his son closely, he is doing fine stating that he has a good voice and is a good role interpreter.

Pete speaking about his beards which is almost as old as the hairs on his head, noted that he only trims his beards which he started keeping at age 23 but will never remove them for any amount of money.

He stated that his beards stands him out which is why he can play big man roles in movies, being a king or one leader of a group.

“No, I wouldn't, no matter how much you would pay me. It gives me character. I have always played a big man in my movies. If I am not a leader of a cult, I am an Igwe or a native doctor. There must be something inspiring about you. Something that frightens people, that terrifies them, intimidates them when they know that you are coming. When you clean-shave, you lose that character,” he told Vanguard.
