Olakunle Ogunrombi better known as K-Peace recently won the musical reality show, carting home millions of Naira, a car and a recording deal beating 12 finalists.
The R&B/Fuji singer who hails from Ogun State did not have life rosy before coming into the competition as the death of his father brought about financial hardship to his family. He said his father's death made him start doing menial jobs.
Speaking with Vanguard, he said he had to start supplying confectioneries around the Mile 2/ Alakija/ Maza Maza areas of Lagos State. He also took to the streets to sell soft drinks in the traffic.
He also revealed that he was actively involved in a hands-on job in a factory within the axis, earning a lowly sum of N150 if he chose to work over time.
He will now be getting ready to promote his genre of music with a South African-based record company which cost about N7.5 million.
