Npf To Promote Junior Officers

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Solomon Arase has constituted a high-powered Committee to screen all junior police officers in 36 state of the country including FCT.

A statement by CP Emmanuel Ojukwu, The Force Public Relations Officer on thursday said that the promotion is for officers who have obtained higher educational qualifications for appointment into the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) and Inspectorate cadres.

According to him,The State Command interviews are slated for 1st July to 6th July, 2015 while Zonal screening starts on 16th July to 22nd July, 2015.

He noted that the exercise is part of the welfare package aimed at boosting the morale of the Force.

The IGP, while reiterating that the result of the interview must reach Force Headquarters on or before 28th July, 2015.

Arase also emphasized that the exercise must be fair and transparent.
