Maiduguri Mosque Attack: Death Toll Rises To 16, More May Still Die
SAN FRANCISCO, May 31, (THEWILL) – As the Borno State Government continues to commiserate with its people over Saturday’s attack on a Maiduguri mosque, death toll in the terrorist attack has risen to 16.
The state governor, Kashim Shettima, who visited the scene of the suicide attack at the Monday market in the state capital, was informed of the rise in the figure of those killed in the attack as he learnt that 30 persons were also injured in the suicide bombing..
The disclosure came as local vigilante member expressed the fear of possible rise oin the death toll.
According to him, “It would require more than a miracle for some of those who were critically injured to make it beyond Saturday night.
Their injuries were severe and about 10 of those we took to the hospital were hanging on the thread and may take divine intervention to live beyond Saturday night,” he said.
