Oritsefemi Releases Statement About Dropping Danku

Nollywood actress, Temidayo Adeniyi, better known as Shakira, has disclosed that she never had plans for acting but developed interest in it along the line.

The actress, who studied banking and finance in the university, explained that after her studies, she had to go for a diploma course in acting to be able to understand the craft more.

Shakira as she is fondly called has produced two movies to her credit but pointed that one thing that gives her concern is the fact that actresses are not being respected.

She noted that people see actress as whore with the assumption that it was due to their pretty face they got the job.

“I can only advocate for myself. I can say the only thing that pisses me off is that some people don't really appreciate what we do. When they see an actress, they think she is a whore. Some think we got into this because we have a pretty face and they think we can do all sorts. You tell somebody you are an actress and the person gives you this you-are-not-a-serious-person kind of look. At this jet age, some people don't see acting as a profession. They think it is about having a fine face. But that is not true about this business,” she told Punch.
