As Imo Deputy Gov Charges The Helmsmen To Put The People First

Imo State Governor Owelle Anayo Rochas Okorocha has sworn-in newly appointed Chairmen of Local Government and House of Assembly Commissions and their members yesterday in Sam Mbakwe Expanded Exco Chambers, Imo State Government House, Owerri.

Among the newly appointed Commissioners are Hon. Barr. Chinyere Uwandu as the Chairman of Imo State Local Government Service Commission and Hon. Okoronkwo Emeka as the Chairman of Imo House of Assembly Service Commission.

Other officers who were also sworn-in were Dr. Louis Nonye Obodo as the Transition Chairman of Oguta Local Government and Mrs. Rose Chinyere Onyeogasi as the member of the Local Government Service Commission (Commissioner one).

In his address after administering the Oath of Office on the new appointees, Prince Eze Madumere, the Deputy Governor of Imo State and the 2015 Deputy Governor-Elect charged the new Heads of Commissions, Local Government and others to put people above personal interests.

The number two citizen of Imo State while congratulating the new helmsmen also urged them to justify their inclusion in the Rescue Mission Government, which he described as act of God.

In his words, " On behalf of His Excellency, Owelle Anayo Rochas Okorocha, I wish to charge all of you to be prepared to join the battle of the Rescue Mission. I do not need to remind you that this is a call to duty. It is expected of you to justify your inclusion in this mission."

He further urged them to focus on how to contribute immensely to move Imo forward while reminding them the State is geared towards becoming even greater to the delight of every Imolites.

He therefore charged them to be innovative, hard working, observe and abide by all extant laws and procedures and above all hing their trust in God while discharging their duties without any fear or favour.

While responding on behalf of her colleagues, Hon. Barr. Chinyere Joy Uwandu thanked Governor Okorocha and his deputy for their visionary leadership and for choosing them even among millions of Imoites, especially on the eve of the second coming of Owelle Rochas Okorocha as the Governor of Imo State.

She promised they will discharge their duty to the best of their ability. She also promised to follow the footsteps of Owelle Rochas Okorocha and principles of Rescue Mission Administration by putting the people first.
