Nggilari, INEC Disenfranchised Many IDPS In Adamawa State Says Boni Haruna
The Minister of Youths and sports and Former Governor of Adamawa state,Mr Boni Haruna has accused INEC of been unfair to many Michika people who many of them could not cast their votes because of the poor logistics provided by INEC and the state government.
He said this to our correspondent at his Dougeri residence immediately he casted his votes at one of the Idps designated voting center provided by INEC in the capital city of Yola.
According to Haruna Michika which was recovered three weeks ago from the hands of insurgents and thousands of the IDPs are still in capes and mountains, working down from the mountains will cause four to five days, it was one of the reasons he supports the idea of INEC to conduct the election to their various place of origin.
"Michika is predominantly a PDP area with assurance of given blog votes for my party, but It pains me today that i could not cast my vote in my home town because of INEC's unfair treatment to my people,Michika is not the only LGA been seized by Boko Haram, among the areas been recaptured back is only Michika that INEC said they are not going to have their franchise right in their places of origin.
"Given unreasonable reasons to not been assured by the security agencies in the state to do that." Boni Lamented
The former Governor said he is a full PDP man and will work ways to see that the party emerge the winner in whatever way possible, blaming the state Governor, Barr Bala James Nggilari for working against PDP in the area for fear of not winning his seat considering the fact that Michika is having more than thirty thousands votes, but many of this voters were denied their right.
"Over thirty thousands votes are meant for PDP but as the election could not hold there we lost the area to opposition, as I am talking to you up to seven wards have not yet descended from the mountains tops, for those the state government have claimed to had ferry them down were not up to an inch of the remaining people in Michika".
"Right now we discovered that a polling unit that have about eight hundreds registered voters or more only fourty or thirty people turned up for accreditation which means a big gap is already created when Mubi north,Mubi south and Maiha's results were announced, those are areas known to be strong holds for APC"
"The Governor collaborated with INEC not to conduct elections there thinking Michika people will votes for opposition person who is an indigene of the area".
The Minister cried out how Governor Bala did more harm than good by allowing his personal ambition to destroyed the big chances of winning all elections in the country for not supporting the agitation of Michika people to go back to their origins to have their votes casted like Mubi North, Mubi south and Madagali which were all ravaged down by Boko Haram.Lamented that how many of the people that the state can be able to ferry down the state capital to exercise their franchise right considering their numbers in thousands.
