It is becoming  clear that President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan will not only carry the day in the March 28 Presidential election but win with an overwhelming majority in all the local governments of Oyo State.

This is evident in the unprecedented cross- over endorsements, royal blessings and sincere open declarations being given to the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) by all that matter in the nooks and crannies of the pacesetter state.

From rival political parties, adversary politicians, eminent traditional rulers, top business men, to leading youth and women groups, the gale of endorsement of President Goodluck Jonathan in Oyo State has continued to rise.

Already, all the frontline political parties in Oyo State especially Accord, Labor, SDP and others have openly endorsed President Goodluck Jonathan with their unanimous resolutions to support and vote for him en masse on March 28.

Popular youth mobilizers across the state including those serving in the cabinet of the incumbent governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi like the Special Adviser to the governor on Youth Affairs, Mr. Godwin Obode and Honorable Abiodun Gbolagade, his adviser on Housing have all left APC and now working hard for the success of President Goodluck Jonathan

Just yesterday, all the prominent traditional rulers in Afijio Local Government area of the state gave their royal blessings and support to the candidacy of President Goodluck Jonathan in a very rare show of love and affection for the president.

At the palaces of Akibio of Ilora, Oba Stephen Oyeniyi Oparinde, Alawe of Awe, Oba Cornelius Adeola Taiwo and Amorin of Akinmorin, Oba Solomon Iyiola Olayemi the atmosphere was filled with love and total acceptance as the three eminent rulers warmly and openly expressed their desire to have Dr. Jonathan as Nigerian President for a second term.

Receiving the Oyo State PDP Presidential Campaign Organization led by the State Coordinator , Oloye Jumoke Akinjide into their palaces, the traditional rulers declared their preference for President Jonathan whom they said would best promote and protect the interests of their people and those of the Yoruba in general.

The three obas were in unison in their conclusions that President Goodluck Jonathan had impressed them by showing uncommon courage in convoking the National Conference , which when implemented would allow the Yoruba nation to grow at its own pace as it was the case during the time of Late Obafemi Awolowo.

They commended the PDP campaign coordinator, Oloye Jumoke Akinjide for the energy, adroitness and passion with which she has been running the campaign and prayed that her efforts would be rewarded with great victory.

In her speeches at the palaces, Oloye Jumoke Akinjide emphasized the need for all Yoruba people to rally round President Goodluck Jonthan and give him their votes in the elections for the actualization of equality of regions and states which our past leaders had been clamoring for.

Oloye Akinjide told the Obas and their chiefs that President Goodluck Jonathan had already put machinery in place for the implementation of all the laudable resolutions of the national conference which would give the Yoruba the pride of place in the country.

She was full of thanks for the Obas and all the people of Afijio Local Government Area for the rousing and warm reception accorded the Presidential campaign organization in all the towns visited.
