Political Conspiracy And The Disconfiguration Of Nigeria: Goodluck Jonathan Must Continue

Nigeria is not all inclusive. While Hausa, Yoruba and Igbo has been tagged majority, well over other 500 Nigerian ethnic groups are tagged minority ones. While the so called few majority Nigerians thrive and dominate the country socio-politically, economically and otherwise, the so many minority ones are marginalized and struggling for relevance.

Nigerians are, therefore, divided into two classes: the class of the advantaged and therefore included, and the class of the disadvantaged and therefore excluded.

It is a disheartening dismal pismire that the class of the disadvantaged are the ones actually carrying the economic weight of the nation. While the wealth the nation can boast of are found in the jurisdiction of the disadvantaged, the class of the so called advantaged own all the oil blocs found in the territories of the

disadvantaged. It is more sickening that Nigeria is a country where the majority wont protect the rights of the minority.

It seems we only have Christians and Muslims in Nigeria. While, there is a perceived struggle for religion relevance between Christians and Muslims, all other faith categories are sidoning and looking. These

divides has been the major cause of disunity in the nation and it has become the selling point of political campaign and political intelligence in Nigeria.

Obasanjo is a Christian; his deputy should be a Muslim. Yaradua is a Muslim; his deputy should be a Christian. Jonathan is a Christian; his deputy should be a Muslim. Buhari is a Muslim; his deputy should be a

Christian. The presidency should be rotated among the political zones; a foundational base derived from the philosophical thought of dividing and ruling the country. It is a pain in the ass that political idealism has been relegated to the back door in Nigeria.

The political reality of the nation has been bifurcated along the line of ethnicity and religion. When the conditions of government are not favourable to a particular side along the divide, they cause mayhem

and disturb governance. The south south battled for power and for relevance with the instrument of militancy, which Obasanjo masterminded by working tooth and nail to make sure a sick advantaged person took over power with a healthy disadvantaged person as his deputy.

Obasanjo is thought to have shown political intelligence, right? Yaradua negotiated and stopped militancy by giving amnesty before his death to give space for the class of the disadvantaged to assume some level of national assimilation, relevance and involvement in governance.

End militancy, begin boko haram, the struggle for power by the north started immediately. The struggle for power in Nigeria is now become by causing political instability along the line of religion and

ethnicity. If it is not militancy, it is boko haram; if it is not a church bombing, it is a mosque bombing; if it is not Muslims against Christians, it is some tribal war.

As it presently stands, if Buhari wins, boko haram will probably cease and then he will institute Islamic banking and then die, giving way for his deputy to become the president of Nigeria, the same way

Jonathan came into power; the Yoruba political intelligence indeed! And then, there will be the resurrection of militancy, the cycle of the political disconfiguration in Nigeria. But, it is very imperative to proclaim here, that, Buhari is not going to win the election, not even in 2019. Jonathan will complete his tenures and then, in 2019 we can get better representation driven by practical ideologies.
