2015: Okigwe Christians Reject Owunna

With barely two weeks to the commencement of the 2015 general elections, negative odds are seem to have befallen the ambition of Mazi Clement Owunna, the senatorial candidate of the all Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, to represent Okigwe zone at the red chambers of the National assembly in the forthcoming general elections.

Findings have shown that Mazi Owunna has unarguably, been caught in the eye of the storm, following the uncontrolled depletion of his political camp, occasioned by the massive defection of his key supporters to other political parties in recent times.

To further compound his political misfortunes, is the mind-boggling threat emanating from Christians in the area, who have vowed to move against politicians with traces of occult related inclinations from seeking to represent them at different strata of governance.

According to the Christian leaders from the zone, the APGA senatorial candidate for Okigwe zone no doubt, fall within the category of those who belong to different secret societies, while coming out in deception to seek the votes and support of Christians, a downward development which according to them, would be “a clear representation of the kingdom of darkness” if allowed to pull through, thereby posing serious danger to the Christendom.

Some of the Christian leaders who spoke to our reporters under the condition of anonymity, stated that Mazi Owunna, was “a well-known occultist”, who does not believe in the Supreme Being called God, adding that his occult related features are visible in his campaign platforms, as could be seen in the large frightening eye logo on his campaign billboards which dots across the length and breadth of the zone.

The source continued: “It is only a man who doesn't know Mazi Owunna, will continue to advocate for his representation of Okigwe zone in the senate. Owunna, like we all know, is a renowned occultist of the highest order, who must not be supported by any Bible believing Christian in his ambition, as such inimical act would be in furtherance of the propagation of the kingdom of darkness, as against the kingdom of Christ”.

He added: “Owunna should equally explain to the people, the true meaning of that large frightening eye logo on his campaign billboards, as well as the significance of the obnoxious smelly perfumes he has been sharing in the villages to our unsuspecting brothers and sisters. Indeed, we have decided to open up and tell our people the real truth, so that they can make informed decisions on time and cease from being deceptive pawns in the hands of some of the politicians and their ill-gotten wealth”, he submitted.

On the family lifestyle and background of the APGA candidate, the sources hinted that having lived with a reported chequered upbringing, the aspiring senator was not worth the support of the people, based on what they described as the 'collaborative injustice' meted out to his mother in conjunction with his father.

They queried: “On what ground is Clement Owunna asking for our votes, when he devilishly acted his father's script to declare his own mother a “persona non grata” in their family till this day? As I am talking to you, Owunna's mother has never been seen around her husband's compound, after her husband allegedly drove her out over an irreconcilable differences, with an instruction to Owunna, never to allow her in his compound even in death. With his father's demise, Owunna has not deem it necessary and just to reconcile and bring back the poor woman. So, as you can see, it would equally be unjust to waste our votes on such personality”, they recounted.

The Christian leaders however, warned politicians in the area to conscientiously certify themselves fit in all ramifications for any elective position before presenting themselves to the people for support, as the Christian leaders in the area would not hesitate to regularly expose and work against any candidate with verifiable questionable character or integrity, adding that such measures would help in sanitizing our political system to ensure that politicians who have genuine interest of the people at heart were given the needed support to succeed.
