Barr M B Mustapha: A Promising Senator For Taraba North Senatorial District
A senatorial aspirant hoping to represents the Taraba North senatorial Zone in the plat form People's Democratic Movement (PDM), Barr Mohammed Bello Mustapha who went through memory line to revealed to our correspondent in an interview in Jalingo, that his life is a replication of representation, that many can attest that he is a crusader of social justice, a man that spend many years of his life defending the course of a common man. An activist before venturing into politics Mohammed is always seen to be a dogged fighter and a tireless crusader of the voiceless and downtrodden, he is known to be a defender of the rights of the people, a voice to the hopeless and a hope of those oppressed always hold the powers of those in government, who at one point during the rule of Abacha ,who many believe was a tyranny dictator and a stubborn military officer that even the mighty soldiers are afraid to confront him with an issue not to his liking, but a born leader and fearless Mustapha was among the few students during his university days that fought the dictatorship rule of the then Military regime.
The gallant spirit of true unionism to defend the defenceless irrespective of your Religion ,Tribe and your origin was started since during the time of his students unionism in ABU Zaria, as a student of law he was actively involved in the affairs of political activities in the early 90s who became the director of action and mobilization in the prestigious University in the sub-Saharan region of Africa (ABU), at various point became the president of Taraba state Student union government ABU chapter, after which Barr M B Mustapaha was elected to be the president of the student union Government of Ahmadu Bello University ,Zaria from 1999-2000.The first northern Law student to represent congress of African law students in South Africa.
In his nature to always represent the less privileged through better leadership, M B Mustapaha sought for a man to called his political mentor and farther he joint a concern Nigerian citizens and wrote to Gen Muhammadu Buhari to come contest the 2003 presidential election, it was then his participations in politics became more pronounced, his potentialities of good representative began to topple feathers where responsibilities are in trusted into his abilities. With a tasking responsibility of a man in charge of Buhari's national youth leader campaign organisation in 2002 when he credibly canvassed youth across the country to vote for the then ANPP who has Buhari as the presidential flag bearer.
In search of a better flat form to represent his people after failing off with the then ANPP Bello Joined the likes of Professor Pat Utomi to formed a newly then party called African Democratic Congress (ADC), he became the pioneer national vice chairman north-east of the party and in 2007 he was the gubernatorial aspirant of the party where it was revealed by INEC to be the most youngest gubernatorial aspirant in the country. In 2008 Bello was sworn-in as the national chairman of ADC party after he gallantly failed in the gubernatorial contest.
A man with visionary ideas of wanting to always halt the menace of Bad governance, after much persuasions by Buhari in 2010 he decided to pitched a tent with the Buhari new formed party called Congress for Progressives Change (CPC),he single handily sold the idea of the party to Taraba people which was bought and contested the party's gubernatorial primaries where he won against Chief Ezekiel Afukonyo but the party's secretary who was not too comfortable with Bello and gave him unfair treatment and wrongly declared Chief Ezekiel to be the winner, an issue that left Bello to only go to court for redress. A seating Federal high court in Abuja transfers the case to Yola where the mandate of the party was given back to him.
On his desire to see the people of Taraba having a better representative in the floor of National Assembly, vibrant Bello will never take no for an answer because the yearning of his people are the bottle-necks squabbles that if well addressed they will have a better live to leave through the implementation of good laws as the PDM has became a viable alternative party and will springs up surprises to the people of the state with credible candidates jostling various posts in the 2015 march general elections.
Because of who he was, the person he is M B Mustapha has always fight the tyranny tendencies that has been erupting the entire political system of Taraba state, is a man that is better positioned and stationed to be a senator to be representing the good people of Taraba state if God wills. With the zest burning in the inside of him Bello is indeed a carrier of his people burden to share it through all Nigerians with his well designed blue print of what in stored to pass as laws to Nigerians with a direct positive effects to the entire Taraba Northern senatorial district.
Though Young but with full of vibrant and giants abilities within that his agility in tells to Tarabans that a man has come with a new vision of Taraba North to make good laws to the govern that if translated it will boost the economy of this country
The nature of leading people will not make Bello to be a senator seating only in Abuja or roving within the corridors of powers enjoying the fantasies of what a senatorial seat provide, but will always be in tune with his kings men and grass roots people who he will represent by steady coming back home to widely consult with them on how he will generate better laws to the betterment of all the people in Taraba North.
His number agenda is to see how he will make and create bills that will translate into a budget of the federal republic of Nigeria which by extension is going to touch the lives of many Nigerians. Being a fighter Bello is no doubt a Man that will bring succour to that in need by sourcing and bringing what belongs to them when voted into power as a seating senator.
To all the people of Taraba northern senatorial zone, an opening has come to decide who will shape the political destiny of the zone, which is having People Democratic Movement (PDM) as his true party that will help in actualising the dream of Young and mighty Barr M B Mustapha to vote him as a senator to give you undivided and quality representation.
