Speaking at the forum, Christian Keller acting as Managing Director of Carmudi Nigeria explained that “There has been a steady increase in automobile sales in Nigeria. Reports by the African Development Bank showed a 300% increase of automobile sales between 2010 and 2013 in Nigeria thus creating a vibrant market for used cars.”

Also present during the forum, Mr Metche Nnadiekwe, President of United Berger Motors Dealers Association commented “The world is changing and we have to change our business pattern to especially embrace the world of technology. We are enjoying the partnership with Carmudi because they are helping to sensitize the customers using the power of the internet.”

The partnership between Carmudi and UBM marks a huge milestone towards shaping a more modern and hassle-free solution for Nigerians to buy and sell their vehicles online. Following the rise of computer literacy in the country, it has been reported that the Internet penetration in Nigeria had rise up to 45% since the previous dealers' forum held by Carmudi in July 2014.

Keller commented, “In Nigeria there has been a steady increase of the middle class and new consumers are eager to find alternatives to public transportation by purchasing their own cars so it is important to create an easy and fast way for them to buy the car of their dreams. Carmudi's partnership with the dealers in Berger market will ensure convenience and a wide variety of cars to choose from.”
