It was on Sunday, January 10th, 2015, the crème de la crème of reputable personalities like Governor Rochas Okorocha (OON), Imo First Lady, Nneoma Nkechi Okorocha, Chief Judge of Imo State, Justice Paschal Nnadi, Justice Nonye Okoronkwo of the Appeal Court, His Royal Majesty, Eze Chidume Okoro and others stormed Umuakuru Emekuku in Owerri North LGA, the country home of the Chief of Staff Government House and Commissioner for Special Duties, Sir Jude Ejiogu in solidarity for his daughter's marital rites.
The event expected to be performed in a low key, suddenly skyrocketed into a mega ceremony where high-powered dignitaries in Imo State and beyond caught full marital bliss.
The parents of the moment, Sir Jude Ejiogu and wife, Barr Ngozi Ejiogu took charge of the dancing floor, followed by Nneoma Nkechi Okorocha, (the Mother Theresa of Imo State), Justice Nwosu Iheme, Chief Ambrose Ejiogu popularly called (Ndaa Ambu), the elder brother of the Chief of Staff, and others as part of efforts to show acceptance for the nuptial.
Meanwhile, the latest prospective husband and subject of Nwosu Iheme family was led to Emekuku by the Traditional Ruler of Nkwerre Ancient Kingdom, (Eshi of Nkwerre), HRH Eze Okwara and other traditional Chiefs/Title holders, as well as Justice Nonye Okoronkwo who stood as the fure-runner were filled with grim of happiness for the mega event.
In his speech, the Traditional Ruler of Nkwerre, HRH Eze Okwara said that Ejiogu's Dynasty remains a brand that cannot be triumphed by any individual no matter how highly placed, and expressed happiness that one of his subjects has found love in the dynasty.
He pointed out that successful personalities in various human endeavours have been nurtured by the dynasty, maintained that he was in Emekuku not only for the marriage rites but for the celebration of the relationship between Nkwerre Ancient Kingdom and Ejiogu's Dynasty which he described as highly commendable.
More so, this one in a million event gave another credence to the popular Ejiogu's Dynasty of Umuakuru Emekuku, invitees and non invitees saw things themselves and summed up that Sir Jude Ejiogu has emerged not only as the political apex leader of Owerri Federal Constituency but Owerri Zone at large.
One of the dignitaries, who was cornered by newsmen at the event said that he was surprised to see a mammoth crowed including the number one citizen of Imo State and his wife in an event he described as introductory part of marriage rites, and expressed optimism that the major part of the ceremony would soon be a first class ceremony where people from all walks of life would grace.
Apart from earlier mentioned reputable big shots that graced the occasion, other personalities who have paid their dues in various human endeavours in attendance include: Secretary to the Government of Imo State, Prof Anthony Anwuka and wife, Chief Levi Uzokwu (SAN), Chief Jude Nnodim (SAN), former Speaker of Imo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Nnaemeka Maduagwu and wife.
