What: The third Regional stakeholders Meeting to Review the Implementation of the International Health Regulations 2005 (IHR) with focus on the Ebola Virus Disease
Who:
- More than 170 participants representing Ministries of health in 23 countries in the Region
- WHO experts from the Headquarters, Regional Office and country offices
- International and Regional Agencies
- The meeting will be inaugurated by Dr Ala Alwan, WHO Regional Director for the Eastern Mediterranean
When: 9:00- 12:00 a.m. Sunday, 11 January 2015
Where: Kuwait Conference Hall, WHO premises in Cairo
Why: To review the key findings and major recommendations based on Ebola Preparedness and Response Assessment Missions undertaken in 18 countries in EMR in November and December 2014.
How: Journalists are invited to attend the opening session followed by 30 minutes interviews with the Regional Director and number of prominent experts
