Anenih, Peter Obi, Fani-Kayode Emerge Jonathan Campaign Directors

Chairman, Board of Trustees (BoT) of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Tony Anenih, immediate past governor of Anambra State, Sir Peter Obi, and a former Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode have been appointed directors of the Goodluck Jonathan presidential campaign organization.

Also on the list of directors are a former Minister of Information, Prof. Jerry Gana, a former Minister of Finance, Senator Nenadi Usman, as well as a former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Dr. Aliyu Modibbo Umar.

A statement by Presidential Adviser on political affairs, Prof. Rufai Ahmed Alkali said the organization will be inaugurated by President Jonathan at the Legacy House on Monday 5th January, 2015 at 2 p.m.

According to the statement, Anenih is to serve as National Campaign Adviser with Senator Ahmadu Ali as Director-General.

Ali's deputy is Prof. Tunde Adeniran, a former Minister of Education.

Deputy director-general for the north is Special Duties Minister Kabiru Turaki (SAN), while former Governor Obi will head the south.

Former FCT minister Modibbo and Prof. Gana, are directors of administration and logistics and of contact and mobilization respectively. Chairman of Capital Oil, Mr. Ifeanyi Uba is deputy director, contact and mobilization. He is to be assisted by a former Minister of State for Defence, Erelu Olusola Obada and Mr. Henry Nzekwe.

Senators Nenadi Usman and Nimi Amange head the directorates of finance and Planning, research and strategy respectively.

Chief Femi Fani-Kayode is head, directorate of media and publicity. Publisher Comfort Obi is assistant director, print and electronic media and Dr. Udenta Udenta, assistant director, publicity.

A former head of Nigeria Intelligence Agency (NIA) Ambassador Emmanuel Imohe heads the directorate of security and intelligence, Alhaji Abdullahi Mai-Basira, directorate of youth mobilization, and Prof. Nick Ezeh, directorate of civil society and support groups.

Hon. Becky Igwe heads the directorate of women mobilization, while a former Minister of Justice and Attorney-General of the Federation, Adetokunbo Kayode (SAN) is the deputy director in charge of legal services.

The officer in charge of ICT is Mr.Tony Prest, with Hon. Jacob Otu-Enya as deputy director, internal audit.
