IS JONA PREPARING FOR WAR?

While admitting that Rochas Okorocha appears like a more electable candidate than Oshinbajo Esq considering his detribalized posture and his political antecedents and achievements, I am worried that ignoring this roundly-Nigerian man for a Yoruba man by his party was a political blunder! Rochas' enviable record and slogan of being "born in the east, raised in the north and empowered by the west" places him heads and shoulders above a political neophyte like Oshinbajo who aside from being a law professor, is little known for any credible political influence or activism outside the South-West!

I suspect those who preferred Oshinbajo for this complete Nigerian were moved rather by fear and suspicion of the Igboman than the votes Okorocha stands to garner for their party as Buhari's running-mate! The Igbo rightly feels that Westerners (read Yorubas) are always teaming up with the Notherners to supplant and shortchange them so they persist in this weird support for Jonathan as he stutters, fumbles and stumbles along!

With our brothers east of the Niger often given to emotions, one wonders if their tightly synergized tantrums are targetted at shooing up the truth. Theirs seems like a mindset that screams "I can damn well do as I want and act as I like but let no man say anything about it lest I shout him down and affix a label of Igbo hater on his forehead!"

I vividly recall the barrage of misguided tongue-lashing I obtained when I wrote about their go-and- conquer mandate, their take-over rather than share-with-host mentality as they would rather fling invectivized venom at whomever points out their flaws than do an analysis of his comments aimed at negating his claims. They simply stood their ground and went further to declare Lagos as "no man's land"!

But the truth must be said notwithstanding whose ox is gored....

I learnt Jona is of Igbo extraction.... He seems to potentiate the effects of insugency rather than antagonize it. His mindset seems to be: "if the Northerners want to kill themselves, who am I to discourage them. I'd rather seize the opportunity to decimate them as they did Igbos during the civil war!".

We learnt that many "Boko Haram" fighters address themselves with English names like Michael or James. Ogwuche sounds like an Igbo name. He masterminded the Nyanyan bombing twice in rapid succession leading to death of hundreds and the Jona govt is visibly shielding him from justice...as prosecutors deliberately blunder the case lest Ogwuche opens a putrid can of worms!

Our military is befuddled with scores sentenced to death for mutiny as men distrust and disobey their commanders who kit them with porous helmets and vests! Soldiers would rather shed their uniforms and flee to Cameroun than face certain death from insurgents!

Rather than equip our navy, Jona would rather contract Delta warlords to police our maritime and riverine assets to the tune of billions in Dollars!

Government (real name!) Tompolo was recently licensed by the Jona govt to procure eight refurbished Norwegian warships! Excuse given: Fighting maritime vandals and oil thieves. My retort: Tell that to the marines!

Minima has been brought in to replace amnesty-deal-mediator-denying Ihejirika. Seems more like Jona systematically decimating the Nigerian armed forces as he fortifies the "Biafran"forces!

....as I pointedly ask him....
....which war he is preparing for....
