(Update): Buhari Wins APC Presidential Primary

SAN FRANCISCO, December 11, (THEWILL) – Former military Head of State, retired Major General Muhammadu Buhari, has won the presidential primary of the main opposition party, All Progressives Congress (APC) held inside the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Sululere, Lagos.

From a total of 7, 214 accredited delegates for the election, Buhari polled 3, 430 votes while former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar managed only 954 votes.

Kano State Governor, Engr. Rabiu Kwankwaso polled 974; Owelle Rochas Okorocha, the Imo State Governor polled 624 votes, and LEADERSHIP Newspaper publisher, Mr. Sam Nda-Isaiah polled just 10 votes.
