Edo State PDP Chairman, Chief  Dan Orbih, at a rally in Ogbona, Etsako Central LGA, on Sunday, described the sixth anniversary celebration of Adams Oshiomole's  government, as a celebration of  Failure, Fraud and Deceit. He also noted that the abysmal failure falls into the lyrics of the legendary musician, Jimmy Cliff, in the song “the harder they come, the harder they fall”. He described the six years of failure as characterized by impassable roads, multiple taxation and levies, shabby treatment of teachers and workers and incessant waste of public funds. He also advised Adams to desist from dragging traditional rulers into the political arena and develop more financial discipline.

He disclosed that Adams doled out N8m to traditional rulers who were present at the useless town hall meeting he organized at Imaguero College Hall a few weeks ago; and another N15m was given to the traditional rulers who showed up at the Six years of failure celebration. Orbih went on to list unholy approval of endless financial recklessness which includes:

He alerted Edo people on the recent effort to deceive them again in view of the forthcoming general elections by giving N5,000 monthly allowances to jobless youths under the guise of grassroots empowerment programme. The monthly wage bill for the 26,270 about-to-be-conned youths, is N131,350,000. You will recall he did the same thing before 2012 governorship elections, under the guise of neighbourhood watch. No sooner had he been declared winner, that he withdrew their letters of appointment. He also approved N2,205,000 to print these deceitful letters of appointment. This is Oshiomole's version of amala politics. Chief Orbih challenged him to channel this money towards the revival of Edo Line, Ukpella Cement factory and Bendel Brewery as this can add value and provide gainful employment to our youths.

He approves and collects the sum of N23m monthly, as upkeep (pocket money for governor).

He approved N33,587,409.25 for the change of oil and filter for the generator in the governor's lodge.

He spent a whopping N64m for brown envelopes and state banquet to some invitees at the Sixth anniversary celebration of failure, fraud and deceit.

The vouchers for all these waste of resources and financial recklessness Orbih disclosed are in his possession and challenged EDSG to deny them.

It is sad that a state where we no longer enjoy supply of water through public water works, our resources are wasted on frivolities, Orbih opined.
