2015: ACA Men Defeat Entertainers For Udom Emmanuel

It was a fun-filled moment of jamboree as Uyo the Akwa Ibom State Capital, recently came alive when entertainment stars from Nollywood under the aegis of Bre Udom Initiative, took on the Akwa Ibom Consolidation Alliance, ACA in a football duel.

The epic encounter which was hosted by the International President of ACA, Pastor Andrew Uwanta, took place at the Uyo Township Stadium with Mr Udom Emmanuel, the secretary to the State Government being represented as Special Guest of Honour by the State Commissioner for Finance Mr. Akan Okon, while the State Commissioner for Environment Prince Enobong Uwah performed the Kick-off.

Titled Consolidation Football Match 2014, the match saw the ACA Unity team defeating the Entertainment Stars by 3 goals to nothing.The encounter saw the ACA team doing everything right in every department of the game from the blast of the whistle, and it took the timely intervention of the referee final whistle to save the star studded entertainers from their misery, amidst cheering from the massive crowd of ACA supporters who came in their numbers to accord solidarity to their team.

Speaking at the occasion, the representative of the Special Guest of Honour, Mr Akan Okon thanked the Entertainers for the initiative to support Governor Godswill Akpabio, and expressed joy that the sustainability of the uncommon transformation in the State was being embraced by all sectors of the State economy. In his speech, the International coordinator of the Akwa Ibom Consolidation Alliance, Pastor Andrew Uwanta lauded his side for playing to instruction thereby putting up a superb victory over their opponents.

Pastor Uwanta who described ACA as the biggest formidable movement in the state, said members of his team trained hard and were selected based on fitness and proven prowess, adding that the 3nil victory represented massive victory of ACA in the 3 senatorial districts of the State.

According to the Chairman of the organizing committee and Gospel Music ace Godfada, the match was designed to shore up more awareness and solidarity to Mr Udom Emmanuel, and to encourage him to throw his hat in the ring and contest the 2015 Governorship election in the state.

He said as entertainers, they had always supported Governor Akpabio since 2007 and hoped to continue supporting him through the Bre Udom Initiative.

Under the captaincy of Otuekong Nse Essien, the ACA Football team paraded stars like Pastor Uwanta, Isantim Keneth Okon, Mr Emmanuel Ekpenyong, Mr Frank Archibong and Mr Essien Ndueso, while the Godfada-led entertainers had Bishop Ime Umoh(Okon Lagos), Utang Akwa Ibom, Spinosky, Brandini and Sir James among others.
