Air Force plane crashes in Borno
A Mi-35 Helicopter belonging to the Nigerian Air Force crashed on Monday due to a technical fault at a location South of Bama, Borno State.
According to a press statement by the Director of Information, Nigeria Defence Headquarters, Maj. Gen. Chris Olukolade, the crashed Helicopter was on a training mission.
Olukolade said that 'investigation has commenced to unravel the circumstances that led to the accident.' Adding that 'it is established that the crash is not as a result of any enemy action.'
Olukolade promised that further details on the crash would be made known after investigation.
