Senate President Senator David Mark has sent a message of congratulation to the new leadership of All Progressive Congress (APC)  over their emergence at the last weekend's National Convention in Abuja.

Senator Mark in the congratulatory message urged the Chief John Odigie Oyegun led National executive to put the interest of the nation above personal or party interest .

He stated:”Whichever political divide we may belong, what must of a necessity be paramount is the survival of our country under a democratic dispensation. I know chief Oyegun as a patriotic Nigerian who would strive to make our society a better place.

” I can only remind him not to deviate from this path of Honour.  What ever makes for good of the country and her people should without compromise be his watch word. The era of intra or inter party wrangling should be discarded for good.”

Senator Mark craves for credible,  strong and viable opposition party  that would reinforce government resolve to deliver dividends of democracy to the citizenry.

What the nation needs now he suggested is collective efforts  irrespective of different political affiliation and not  political differences to take Nigeria to the next level.
