Airtel Nigeria has entered into partnership with Iphone, the most sold phone in the world with about 272 million subscribers, in order to improve the quality of the network, products, services and infrastructure.

Speaking at the launch of the new Iphone, Natin Anand, director of products and innovations, Airtel Nigeria, promised that the partnership will ensure the best products and services were provided in Nigeria, noting that the launch of the new Iphone was very important as it was brought into Nigeria in partnership with Airtel.

According to Anand, 'we believe the future of mobile network is important and during this time of change, I can boldly say that Airtel will be ahead and we are also the first network to bring I.D launch in Nigeria.'

David Moore, country manager, iStore, disclosed that this was the first time Iphone had been launched in Nigeria and was going to be very affordable, saying 'our partners assure you that you have one year warranty, efficiency and attractive specialities on the phone. You can walk into any Iphone store or Airtel store and get a good unified product.'

According to Moore, all applications on the Iphone come from the Iphone store and both organisations intend launching a new app on the Iphone, which will enable one recharge, subscribe, check balance and data bundle.

'Considering the quality of the products, the price will measure up with the quality and we will give 2 percent discounts to students who have their ID cards,' he said.

Both brands intend that their partnership will last for a long time, as they are going to work in Nigeria as a team. The products are said to have spread worldwide and will be coming into Lagos in the next four days.
