Ahead Of 2011 Groups, Political Parties Dump Gov Amaechi …Declare Support For New Restoration Team

By New Restoration Team

Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi's political fold suffered a major setback last weekend. This is sequel to a mass exodus that hit the fold arising from grudges and feelings of disregard and segregation by some members of the divided house.

Rather than treat them with the deserved dignity having fought and won the election while he was away in self exile, the ostracized former loyalists of Amaechi said the governor has continually allowed the structure to be hijacked by strangers and political jobbers who pretend to love him more than themselves.

The erstwhile members of Governor Amaechi's power bloc are not alone in this song of segregation, other political parties that were hitherto deceived into the feigned unity government have also taken their exit from the unholy alliance.

With tales of woes on their lips, the political parties said they had long suffered in silence having been singing the accordion tunes of the Action Congress as if voodooed when in actual fact, the fragile political marriage is benefiting only one individual.

According to them, the emergence of the New Restoration Team has provided an answer to their over two years of lamentation and prayers.

They expressed their appreciation to those that pulled their resources together to recreate the amazing Restoration family that was responsible for the international popularity Rivers State enjoys till this day and which actually was given a fillip by His Excellency, Sir Dr Peter Odili.

While welcoming the new decampees, the leader of the New Restoration Team, Hon Lolo Ibieneye said under the New Restoration umbrella there are provisions for all in the sprit of real democracy as represented by the Restoration family.

Ibieneye enjoined the decampees to feel free and participate in all the activities of the new political structure, praying that by God's grace their coming together once again is the dawn of a new beginning for the Rivers People.

The new decampees pledged in one voice to be loyal and ready to work for the common good of the New Restoration Team members and Rivers State in general.
