Charity Lounge Turns Ten: Frontlines Fight For Down Syndrome Children

Come May 25 2014, the fight for Down syndrome children in Lagos would record another win at the 10th Edition of Charity Lounge International. The event will be spearheaded by advocates for children through the Stay in Schooling project which seeks to reduce the number of Out of School Children by providing sponsorships for Orphans and Vulnerable children in poor and rural communities within urban centres into primary schools


The Benefit Event is expected to hold at Down Syndrome Foundation Premises, 43, Adegoke Street, Masha, Surulere and it is aimed at raising awareness and funds for Down syndrome activities in Lagos and over 100 community trend setters are expected in attendance.


The Vivacity PR, Alime Media,Bellanaija, SoledoohMedia and Budgit Powered event would be Chaired by the most sought after Social Entrepreneur, Francis Chilaka, KUTH Foundation Board Director, 'Irawo' Crooner, Seyi Shay, Harrysong, Amarachi, Ozzyboso, TJ Sax, IllBliss, DJ Frizzie, Korede Bello, Iyanya are some of the invited superstars, Who would later be joined by the Jokes-Apart Author & Alumni of the Humanitarian Hall of Fame, Julius Agwu for the special children projects auction where attendees are expected to make their bids.

Toyin Saraki, founder of WellBeing Foundation and international campaigner for maternal, newborn and child health, rights and empowerment is one woman the organisers are expecting alongside the Publisher of Ovation International, Dele Momodu and Mother of Twins , Ex-Miss Nigeria, Nike Oshinowo to serve as Parents of the Day. Haitian-American hip hop recording artist, musician, actor, and politician, Wyclef Jean might deliver a Children Day Message with Multiple Award Winner, Ghana's Finest Jocelyn Dumas.
