The House of Representatives has summoned the Minister of Trade and Investment, Chief Olusegun Aganga, over the lingering European Union' 'Economic Partnership Agreement' with Nigeria and other African countries which Nigeria refused to endorse.

The House in a resolution on Wednesday said the minister should appear to explain in details, what Nigeria stood to benefit from a partnership which‎ it said 'looks skewed in favour of theeconomies of Europe to the detriment of the economies of Africa countries and Nigeria in particular' and the likely consequences for Nigeria's failure to endorse the partnership.

The EU gave Nigeria up till October 1 to endorse the agreement.
