Gov. Willie Obiano Signs The FY 2014 Appropriation Bill With Budget Size Of N145.4 Billion

Right on the heels of swearing in his new Executive Council, Gov. Willie Obiano signed into law, the Fiscal Year 2014 Appropriation Bill tagged, 'Budget for Family and Wealth Creation' . The overall budget size is 145.4billion Naira, representing an increase of 24% increase from the FY 2013 budget.

Obiano thanked the Anambra State Assembly for expeditiously passing the budget. The budget was a retooled version of that submitted by former Gov. Peter Obi at the close of 2013. The results-based budget was realigned to be in tandem with Obiano economic and development platform.

Present at the signing were representatives of the the three arms of government, the State Chief Judge, Justice Peter NC Umeadi, the Deputy Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Chukwudi Orizu. From the Executive arm were Deputy Governor, Nkem Okeke, SSG Oseloka H. Obaze, HOS Chidi Ezeoke mni and the newly elected commissioners.
