The innovative service which is branded, 'Refresh and Recharge' was officially unveiled at a colourful event held at the Head Office of Sweet Sensation in Opebi, Ikeja, Lagos on April 9, 2014.

This is coming just two weeks after the telecoms company unveiled Airtel Premier which is an exclusive club for elite customers at an event well attended by many important dignitaries among whom are the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Akinwunmi Adesina; Indian High Commissioner to Nigeria, His Excellency, Shri A. R. Ghanshyam; former Governor of Cross Rivers State, Donald Duke, Oba of Lagos, HRH Oba Akiolu Rilwan, Wife of Ogun State Governor, Funsho Amosun, foremost British Economist, Jim O'neill and Arsenal legend, Ray Parlour

Speaking at the launch of the unique service, the Lagos Regional Operations Director for Airtel, Mr. Adebayo Osinowo, noted that the telco, which remains the most innovative in terms of offerings to Nigerians, conceived the 'Refresh & Recharge' package for its teeming customers as an addition to the numerous convenient channels available for access to recharging their lines and purchasing data bundles.

He said, “The service, which is first of its kind in telecommunications products and services in Nigeria, was borne out of the need to give customers of Airtel Nigeria quality service as well as convenience and value. Each time Airtel customers walk into any Sweet Sensation outlet to get their meals, they can also top up their lines with Airtel Easy Recharge, which is a convenient, time-saving and secure way to get airtime without scratching cards.

“With Airtel Easy Recharge, customers, while enjoying the cool ambience of Sweet Sensation, can buy airtime in flexible denominations like N67, N105, N999 etc., which otherwise may not be possible with physical recharge cards. They can also purchase data bundles directly in these outlets.”

He added that, “the initiative is not only convenient, it also saves time; especially since we all like to make good use of the time we have. More so, some customers may not want to hold small denomination of change in their pockets. So, they can use such to top up their airtime.” He commended the management of the reputable fast food firm for its partnership, cooperation and commitment.

Also speaking at the occasion, the Managing Director, Sweet Sensation, Mrs. Kehinde Kamson, expressed her delight in the partnership between Sweet Sensation and Airtel Nigeria, saying the relationship would definitely engender value added services for the two companies.
