Ekiti 2014: Hold Fayemi Responsible For Political Violence - Adeyeye

By Prince Adedayo Adeyeye

Afenifere Chieftain and former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirant in Ekiti State, Prince Dayo Adeyeye has described yesterday attack on the campaign office the PDP governorship candidate in the State, Mr Ayo Fayose as animalistic, barbaric and condemnable, saying; "Governor Kayode Fayemi should be held responsible for political violence in the State."

Speaking through the Director General of Prince Adedayo Adeyeye Movement (PAAM), Hon Bisi Kolawole, Adeyeye said it was disheartening to see thugs open fire at law-abiding citizens of Ekiti State in the full glare of the governor.

"What happened in Ado-Ekiti yesterday, is to say the least, animalistic and shameful.

"How on earth can it be explained that Governor Fayemi was physically present when his party thugs were shooting at the campaign office of the PDP candidate?

"Has Fayemi's heart become so hardened that he no longer consider human lives as sacred?

"Funny enough, Fayemi and his men went to town, lying that it was PDP supporters that attacked the governor's convoy, even when there are more than enough evidences of damaged cars, belonging to PDP supporters.

"With this barbaric act of yesterday, Nigerians should now know who to hold responsible for political violence in Ekiti State."

While urging PDP supporters in the State to remain calm, Adeyeye said "law enforcement agents will bring those responsible for the shooting at Fayose's office on Monday to book."
