Former Military Head of State and National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, General Muhammadu Buhari, yesterday describe the incessant attacks in the North as a grand plan to destabilize the country. This, he said to newsmen during a condolence visit to victims of recent attacks in Faskari and Sabuwa council areas of Katsina state.

He stated that the attacks were acts of terrorism and had nothing to do with religion or ethnicity, and further urged residents to help security agencies by being on the lookout and reporting suspicious persons and activities to the relevant authorities.

“They are trying to destabilise Nigeria beginning with the North because they started with Borno, Kano and now Katsina and Kaduna”, he said.

He donated 200 bags of maize while his associates who accompanied him donated N1 million to victims' families.

Over 100 lives were reportedly lost and several properties destroyed when some armed men attacked villages in Faskari and Sabuwa council areas of the state early last month.
