Defecting Reps Members Should Prepare For Bye-Election—Adeyeye

By Prince Dayo Adeyeye Movement

Former Spokesperson of Afenifere and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirant in Ekiti State, Prince Dayo Adeyeye has described as landmark, the Federal High Court, Abuja judgment, ordering the 37 former members of the PDP in the House of Representatives that decamped to the All Progressives Congress (APC) to resign their seats.

He said; "The most honourable thing for the defecting lawmakers to do is to prepare to test their popularity and that of the APC that they decamped to in a bye-election."

Adeyeye, who said it will be a shame on the lawmakers if they appeal the judgment, added that; "it is immoral for people to use a political platform to win election and defect to another party."

He hailed the judge who delivered the judgment, saying; "The judge who gave that landmark judgment has written his name in gold as far as politics is concerned in Nigeria."

He urged the five PDP governors that defected to the APC to return to the PDP before they suffer the same fate as the House of Reps members.
