Fayose Emerges PDP Candidate In Ekiti Guber Race

BEVERLY HILLS, CA, March 22, (THEWILL) - Chief Peter Ayodele Fayose, a former Governor of Ekiti State, has emerged the candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the 2014 Ekiti State Governorship election.

At Saturday's primary of the party, which was boycotted by 14 governorship aspirants, Fayose polled 462 votes from the 477 votes to defeat Captain Caleb Olubolade 7 votes, Clemet Adeyeye 3 votes and Margaret Oguniyi 1 vote.

4 votes were voided at the primary held at the Great Eagle Hall, Ado-Ekiti.

Chairman of the election committee and a former governor of Rivers State, Dr.

Peter Odili who announced the result and declared Fayose winner, said the election process was free and fair.
