Mark condemns Kaduna killings…condoles families of dead NIS job seekers

President of the Senate, Senator David Mark has condemned in strong terms the killings in three villages of Southern Kaduna at the weekend even as he condoled with the families of those who lost their lives at the recruitment exercise of the Nigerian Immigration Service describing their death as tragic.

Senator Mark, who described the re-emergence of killings in Kaduna as shocking, said those behind this killings are senseless. He reiterated that there is no alternative to dialogue.

According to him, “the killings of innocent Nigerians in this attack is barbaric. It is saddening and worrisome that in this present age some set of people will engage in mass slaining of their fellow country men as an expression of grievances.

“This dastadly act of these insurgent must be stopped at all costs. Government will not fold its hands and watch the murder of innocent Nigerians in the hands of faceless and wicked people.

“The Federal government will continue to mobilise our military in combat till this insurgency is swept off our nation,”

The Senate President in condoling the families of the job seekers described their death as very painful.

Senator Mark however commiserated with the families of those that died and pray that God will grant them fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

He assured Nigerians that the National Assembly will continue to work on legislations that will improve the lives of every Nigerian.
