Imo Deputy Gov. Calls On The Public To Remember The Poor

Imo Deputy Governor and the Chairman of Nigerian Red Cross Society, Prince

Eze
Madumere, MFR, has called on the public to always remember the less

privileged for a
better society.
Speaking during a courtesy call on him by members of the Nigerian Red

Cross Society
led by the Vice Chairman of the body yesterday in his office, Prince Chima

Keke,
Prince Madumere thanked Imo people for their unbridled and relentless love

for the
orphans whom he described as special children.
His words, “I am grateful to the good People of Imo State for their

magnanimity,
love, spirit of giving and steadfastness in the matter concerning the

welfare of the
special children, without which could have been difficult.”

Speaking further, Prince Madumere who would always prefer celebrating with

the
special children, observed that there is blessing in giving as it also

secure the
future of the society. “If we treat our children well, cater for the less

privileged, we are only preventing future problems because those are part

and parcel
of our society. Train and build a child today, help to build a Nation with

patriotic
citizenry,” he enthused.
Prince Madumere further called on the public to always stop by to help

victims of
accidents as such is the highest act of charity. Meanwhile, he called on the

security agents not to always scare good Samaritans away by conducting

themselves
professional at such scenes as intending helpers have always stayed of for

fear of
maltreatment in the course of investigations.
Prince Madumere reminded his guests of Governor Okorocha whom he described

as the
greatest giver ever known, whom he said would always stop at nothing to

better the
lots of the poorest of the poor. He however reminded them the seven

principles of
Red Crossers and the danger in inordinate ambition, saying it is the way of

unpatriotic individuals. He also reminded them of the biblical injunction

which
spells blessing of lack- of -lack for unrepentant givers.

Imo Deputy Governor commended the leadership of the Nigerian Red Cross

Society
especially the Vice Presiden, Prince Chima Keke and the State Secretary of

the
Society, Kingsley Kelechi Ihueze for their doggedness, Committment and their

religious dedication towards thenSociety especially the Orphanage Home.

Earlier in the meeting, the leadership of the Nigerian Red Cross Society,

through
their Vice Chairman, Prince Chima Keke, spoke glowingly of the Governor

Owelle
Rochas Okorocha who ia also the National President of the Nigerian Red

Cross Society
led Rescue Mission Government as well as its Chairman, Prince Eze Madumere

for their
strides in all ramifications of development especially as it concerns the

welfare of
the education of all free of charge.
The body also requested Imo Deputy Governor's magnanimity towards helping

them with
operational vehicles while thanking them for the Ambulance he already

procured for
them. The Red Crossers further requested the presence of the Governor and

the Deputy
Governor's presence in their forthcoming day on March 8, 2014.
