HUMAN RIGHTS REPORT: WHY BOKOHARAM APPEARS TO BE SUCCEEDING AND NIGERIAN MILITARY FAILING IN THE BID TO CURB MILITANCY IN NIGERIA
Pretence is the first law of deceit. It gives you an air of superiority even when the obvious is staring you to the face. Pretence comes in various ways like haranguing fighters when they have no weapon or their weapons are rickety in comparison with superlative mercenary of the opponent. Or, pretence uses media hype to over blow one's ability when in truest sense, the weakness has taken the better half. Journalistic jingoism does more harm than good in such sensitive a warfare as terrorism.
That has been the mixed feelings with the utterances of Nigerian military topbrats that they are on top of bokoharam situation when in reality many military personnel are being mowed down and wasted in the battle field in Borno, Adamawa and Yobe. Defence man was quoted to have said that tourism would in April, 2014. Good riddance to bad rubbish, you may adduce. But is that statement not squaring the circle? What do Nigeria military have on ground to match with and outwit the proclaimed superior firepower of the terrorists?
That is where the groan serpent lies. That is the question on board. That is the animate sore point of the fight against terrorism, and not mere jibberish of ending terrorism in April. But this is ending February, barely a month to go towards the purported end to bokoharam. Yet, between Thursday last week until now, the bokoharam has killed close to 2000 people in Borno and Adamawa. The figure is yet increasing daily. The mayhem is re-occurring in hours.
Yet, somebody says it is ending in April, in a month's time. If Bade is a Holy Spirit-filled born again child of GOD, that is understandable. But in this case, he is not. He is merely carried away by egoistic military's unfounded superiority which is falsehood. The military run away in the face of superior firearm of bokoharam: this is the truth about the situation in Borno, Adamawa and Yobe. To say that it will end in April, in a month's time, when you have nothing to realize it, is living in fool's paradise. It is even more dangerous when you know you are not prepared, to make such abrasive statement.
What do you have to fight booharam, my dear Chief of Defence Staff? That is the question and not bokoharam ending in April. How motivated are your soldiers and military personnel to conquer bokoharam, is the million naira question, and not climbing skyscrapers on crutches that is your unrealistic statement that has re-invigorated the insurgents to be more dastardly. Why make a costly statement when your men are not logistically ready to fight the more superlatively prepared?
Do bokoharam respond to media hype or to the reality of the situation? Badeh should explain why soldiers have been killed severally and some ran away from the more superiorily armed bokoharam. Ofcourse, the soldiers are right because first, preservation is the first law of attack. He that fights and runs away lives to fight another day. The Nigerian soldiers who abandoned their duty posts and run away from rampaging bokoharam are eventually right. Those soldiers who died have died and forgotten, while those who ranway lives to comeback to continue the fight when they are better equipped.
How can you martial soldiers for war when they are ill equipped? Are you not sending them to suicide mission to go and die for nothing? Let the Chief of Defence Staff himself go and fight bokoharam with AK 47, when bokoharam is carrying Submarine Machine Guns or Rocket Propelled Grenades and Destroyers or Buffers. Badeh should go and fight bokoharam himself and stop sending soldiers he denies requisite equipment on suicide mission.
BOKOHARAM SOLDIERS ON RAMPAGE
How can riffraffs, graduated almagiris, barely literate persons storm a whole Nigerian Air force Base and destroyed five military aircrafts in Maiduguri? How can? How come? Tell that to the winds? How can these ragtags and bobtails in seasoned warfare over Power one of the best land armies, if not the very best, in the world, the Nigeria army? How can it be? Tell that to the winds.
The truth is that insider-abuse land sabbortage in the Nigerian military have taken grip of Nigeria's military. Surely, there are innumerable military personnel who are bokoharam members in Nigerian military. That is how the cookie crumbles. That is even the worst.
Jesus Christ said “A house divided against itself cannot stand”. Surely, bokoharam in Nigeria's military is the greatest threat to the fight against terrorism in Nigeria. They leak information on strategies to the insurgents who go and prepare better for surprise attack.
It is unfortunate. We have explained time without number that any muslim, no matter his position in government, puts islam first. bokoharam seeks to establish perfect islamic state. That is acceptable to every muslim, no exception. That alone is the opinion needed as tonic for bokoharam soldiers or muslim soldiers to support bokoharam, preferring it to Security of Nigerian State.
MANDATE TO ALL MUSLIMS
The mandate ot every muslim is to fight for allah. jihad is a war to kill by force and convert any unbeliever in islam. So, muslim soldiers are supporting bokoharam to buttress their faith in jihad, the “holy war” of serial killing of those who do not believe in islam as commanded by “prophet” Mohammed.
