Director General of The You and I Foundation, Mr. Oritsejolomi Uduaghan on Friday appealed to the good people of Delta State to join him in working towards a greater Delta in 2015. He also thanked Deltans at home and abroad for their entreaties to Dr. Ngozi Olejeme to contest the 2015 governorship election.

Uduaghan told members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta South Senatorial District that the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund boss has extracted commitment from those that matter and would oversee the affairs of the state in 2015.

“We need a visionary, dynamic and responsive governor in 2015. We need a person who can build the bridge to a greater future, create jobs for the unemployed, look after the elderly and provide medicine to the sick”

He extolled the leadership qualities of Olejeme, describing her as a grassroots woman, an achiever and a listening leader who has the interest of the people at heart.

“Olejeme is more visible politically in Delta State. She is a fair and compassionate leader and also appreciates the pains of the poor. So, i am mobilizing Deltans in different parts of Nigeria and abroad to support a worthy venture” he said.

He promised that Olejeme would consolidate on the achievements of Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan, address those areas that still demand for more concerted action and also build bridges of understanding between and among all the ethnic nationalities in the state.

“Governor Uduaghan is making a real difference in the lives of the people and also winning the race against corruption and compromise. However, Olejeme will emphasize effective and responsible leadership, public accountability, firmness and selflessness. She will ensure an all-inclusive government and also implement programmes designed to address the wellbeing of the people”.

He appealed to journalists, students, lecturers, market women and men, administrators, businessmen and women leaders, elders and royal fathers to support her.

“Deltans must ensure that only a trusted and tested person like Olejeme emerge as the governor of the state”

For the past few months, associates of Olejeme made extensive consultations and received encouragement and substantial goodwill from a broad spectrum of Deltans throughout the country.
