Sanusi Lamido Was Reckless As CBN Governor - Adeyeye

By Prince Adedayo Adeyeye

Former Spokesperson of Afenifere and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirant in Ekiti State, Prince Dayo Adeyeye has hailed the suspension of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi by President Goodluck Jonathan, describing the suspended CBN Governor as "reckless."

Reacting to Sanusi Lamido's suspension, Adeyeye said in a statement issued today, that the suspended CBN Governor had turned himself to an opposition of the government.

Adeyeye said; "We have had CBN Governors in this country, and none of them was antagonistic of the Federal Government like Sanusi Lamido. We never even get to see them on the pages of newspapers.

"How on earth would the CBN have donated N4 billion to Bayero University, Kano; N10 billion to Uthman Dan Fodio University, Sokoto; and a mere N500 million to the University of Benin?

"How come it was Kano State government that Sanusi Lamido donated N100 million to the Kano State Government instead of government of Borno State where Boko Haram activities have been more devastating?

"N14 billion donation to two northern universities and not a single kobo was given to any university in the Southwest?

"That man, Sanusi Lamido was just too reckless and it was only because President Jonathan was too tolerant that he stayed in office till today. If not, he ought to have been sacked long ago!"
