47 Persons Killed in Bama Fresh Attack

Suspected  Boko Haram members  have in another fresh attack today killed

47 persons in Bama Local Government Area of Borno State.

The terrorists who  were numbering over 200  according to eyewitness sneaked into  the town and started killing people from house to house using IEDs and others dangerous weapons

Bama town  is  130km from Maiduguri the Borno state capital,  and it has witnesses series of attacks from Boko Haram terrorists recently.

Police Commissioner in Borno State , Lawal Tanko confirmed the incident on phone from Maiduguri , the State capital today

“  47 dead bodies what we have gotten so far as at afternoon.

“every land mark building in the Local government secretariat, the State Lowcost Housing estate, schools and several other buildings, as well as part of the Shehu's palace (local Chief Palace) were destroyed.

“As at the last time I spoke to my DPO in Bama, we have had 47 dead casualty recorded, while several number of persons were confined injured, some already in hospitals there. I have instructed my men to liaise with the hospital if we can have a figure on the dead casualties”,  Tanko said.
