...APEX COURT SAYS IT IS GROSS ABUSE OF COURT PROCESS
... OHAKIM, OTHERS DESCRIBED AS INDOLENT AND POWER DRUNK
... IT IS A RE-VALIDATION OF THE PEOPLE'S MANDATE

The seeming induced tension in Imo State over what would be the outcome of appeal by Governor of Imo State over the judgement of Appeal Court to join Ikedi Ohakim for the second time has been ruptured irredeemably by the apex court today after it delivered judgement in favor of Imo Governor.

Governor Okorocha had gone to court challenging Ohakim's bid to be joined with Senator Ifeanyi Ararume after the former governor had lost all his challenges from Tribunal to the Supreme Court describing such as gross abuse of court process.

At about 10:30 am, today, rising from the Court Judgement by the Supreme Court presided by Hon. Justice Fabiyi and delivered Hon. Justice Clara Tata Ogunbiyi JSC, the Court set aside all judgements obtained by the lower courts, which were described as gross abuse of court process.

The Court however observed that a matter that has been conclusively concluded was surreptitiously smuggled through the back door due to the indolent posture of the former Imo governor, Sir Ikedi Godson Ohakim. The court wondered why a case that has been properly concluded should be brought back.

While delivering the historic judgement, in her words, "there must be an end to litigations". The court lashed out at desperate politicians to exercise restraint in their quest for power and should not undermine the sanctity of court and the law of the land; wherefore, it is imperative that the court should have it as a duty to stop this worrisome trend.

The court further chided the lower and appellate court for raising the hope of ignorant PDP chieftains and their sponsors. The Supreme further awarded N100, 000 damage to Governor Okorocha.

It will be recalled how Imo PDP has constituently deceived their members with a case that ought have been a post election matter. Further more, the matter was masterminded by indolent Ohakim in his act of desperation for power.

Speaking after the judgement, Imo Deputy Governor, Prince Eze Madumere described the judgement as the validation of the people's mandate given to Gov. Owelle Rochas Okorocha. He further said the people's mandate have variously been justified with the monumental development by Owelle Rochas Okorocha led Rescue Mission Government. Imo Deputy enumerated countless achievements of the present government ranging from free education, construction of 305 primary schools, massive road construction being witnessed in all the local governments and urban cities in Imo State.

It will be recalled that Ararume Prayed the court to decide the constitutionality of supplementary election, which brought Governor Okorocha into office for which his then defunct party, ACN partook with PDP. It will also be recalled that the Ikedi Ohakim had told the public he was not going to challenge Governor Okorocha in court so as to prevent him from going through what he went through in courts suites.

Prince Madumere chided desperate politicians advising them to play by the rules other than trying to desecrate the hallowed sanctity of the judiciary. He further called to question the deliberate ploy by some politicians to botch the massive development being witnessed in Imo State in the name of politics.

It must be observed that Imo PDP has woefully failed its faithful by eternally maintaining its status as a group of people deceiving people. It is hoped that people will at this juncture be reawakened to their responsibility of pursuing a course that is futuristic than chasing shadow in the garden of desperate politicians that believe in agbata ekee.
