Group To Honor President Jonathan, Orji In Umuahia

The coalition of Youth and Pressure Groups,South East zone has concluded plans to honor president Goodluck Jonathan and Governor Theodore Orji at a solidarity/endorsement rally scheduled to hold in Umuahia on the 31st of this month.

The event which is slated to hold at Ibeku High school, Umuahia is a way of supporting and urging the two leaders to continue with their good jobs.

Speaking during a courtesy visit on the chief press secretary to Abia state governor, Mr. Charles Ajunwa in his office, the leader of the delegation, Chucks Ibegbu said an indepth study shows that the transformation agenda of president Jonathan and the legacy programme of chief Theodore Orji are on course.

Mr. Ibegbu stated that the event will attract major stakeholders in Igboland and feature speeches.

In his speech, the chairman of the organizing committee, chief Okechukwu Isiguzoro said that the occasion which will be chaired by Elder Emma Adaelu will offer opportunity for the South East people to endorse president Jonathan.

He called on Abians to troop out en masse to give honor to whom it is due.

Receiving his guests,the chief press secretary to the Governor, Mr. Charles Ajunwa thanked the group for their thoughtfulness and disclosed that the chief TA Orji's administration in Abia state places premium on the youths.

According to him, the Abia state government has done a lot for the youths through its youth empowerment programme and assured that the government will not relent.
