President Jonathan approves concessioning of Lagos National Stadium

President Goodluck Jonathan has approved the concessioning of the National Stadium in Surulere, Lagos.

The President made the approval last week, according to the National Sports Commission.

With this approval, the stadium complex will be concessioned private investors to take manage.

Last year, a committee was set up by the Federal Executive Council to draw up a framework of how to effectively manage the federal stadia across the federation.

The Lagos stadium has been in ruins following years of abandonment,despite it hosting Nigeria’s international football fixtures.
