Customer wins Unity Bank Car gift promo

Martin Shall, a Unity Bank customer from Bama branch, Maiduguri has won a brand new KIA Rio Saloon car at the North East zonal grand finale of the Bank’s Aim, Save and Win Promo which took place In Gombe at the weekend.

It will be recalled that another customer in Kano, Hasiya Bello Makama, had also won one of the cars during the North West zonal finale last week.

Other prizes that were won at the Gombe finale included four N250,000 scholarships which were won by the accounts Abduljabal & accounts, Salmanu Ali Baba, Jephtah Japheth and Kabiru Abba Chinaid for saving minimum of N100,000 in a Unity Kids account over a 45-day period between June and December 2013.

N200,000 was won by Emmanuel Zirajimi, a bread merchant based in Jalingo, Taraba state for saving a minimum of 100,000 in his Unity Bank BETA (Business Empowerment and Thrift Account), a special account for empowering artisans and small business owners.

Kanye Zirata was the first runner up in BETA account category and he won N150,000.

Consolation prizes which included motorcycles, children’s bicycles, Television sets, washing machines etc were also won in the various categories.

Other zonal finales have been scheduled to hold in Lagos, Owerri and Abuja over the next two weeks where qualified customers will win 3 more Kia Rio cars as well as the same star prizes in the various categories and consolation prizes.

This is the second season of the promo and it is designed to encourage a savings culture as a key to financial growth among Nigerians.
